Debra Jeanne Snyder died Tuesday, November 2, 2010 at The Allen Hospital, New York City at the age of 54.

She is survived by her parents, James W. and Joan Thorn Snyder; a brother, James D. Snyder and his wife Roseann; three sisters, Diane Nelson and her husband Jerry; Judy Roche and her husband Vincent, and Jeanne Snyder; a niece, Julie; two nephews, Matthew and Daniel; along her many family, friends, and beloved dog Nick.

Born and raised in Rahway  New Jersey, Deb then moved to New York City and has been a long time resident of Inwood. For the past six years she served as a quality improvement coordinator for Andrus Children's Center, Yonkers, NY. The founding president of Inwoof, Deb worked tirelessly to improve the quality of life of all the four legged and two legged who crossed her path. Deb loved the beach, reading and was in the midst of writing a collection of short stories based on her adventures with Nick, the Wonder Dog. She spent many happy hours with Nick in Homer's Run, Inwood Hill Park's dog run.

Tax-deductible donations to Inwoof in Deb's memory made be made through our umbrella organization NYCDog. It is imperative to indicate INWOOF - Deb Snyder on your donation, as all the funds for the various groups under NYCDog's umbrella are comingled, and we note our own funds this way.
